GSGS Webinar – Sanitation Technology Management in Emergency Phase

Water Supply and Sanitation Infrastructure Management (WSSIM) Study Program of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE), Institute of Technology Bandung held an event entitled GSGS Workshop: Achieving Sustainable Sanitation Through Sanitation Service Chain and Behavioral Approach. This event was held online by Zoom Video Conference on August 12, 2020.

The first speaker, Dr. Eng. Denny Helard, S.T., M.T., lecturer at Andalas University, explained the theory about Disaster Risk Reduction for Environmental Sanitation Infrastructure in Disaster Prone Areas. The second speaker was Prof. Dr. Ing. Prayatni Soewondo, M.S., Professor of the Bandung Institute of Technology, with a case study of Wastewater Management in Disaster Areas. Then the third speaker was Ir. Eddy Setiadi Soedjono, Dipl., S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., lecturer at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, presenting case study about Sustainable Drinking Water in Disaster Areas.

There were also GSGS program coordinators from the three universities implementing the GSGS program in Indonesia; Dr. Ahmad Soleh Setiyawan, S.T. (ITB), Ipung Fitri Purwanti, S.T., M.T., Ph.D (ITS), and Dr. Ir. Puti Sri Komala, M.T. (UNAND). In general, the requirements and rules of GSGS program are same, but the application and registration mechanisms for each campus will be different.

This webinar was attended by more than 70 students and public participants from various cities in Indonesia.
