GSGS- WSSIM ITB also delivers course materials in form of a workshop. The workshop will be held minimum once a year and invites the participants from professionals such as lecturers, students from other universities, government employers, private company employers, consultants, and other institutions.
First GSGS Workshop: Achieving Sustainable Sanitation Through the Sanitation Service Chain and Behavioral Approach
The Global Sanitation Graduated School (GSGS), which is one of the programs of the Water and Sanitation Management Program (PIAS) of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL) of the Institut Teknologi Bandung, held an event titled GSGS Workshop: Achieving Sustainable Sanitation Through the Sanitation Service Chain and Behavioral Approach . The event was held in the Seminar Room Labtek 1B Building, ITB Jatinangor Campus on January 23-24, 2020.
Present as guest speaker was Imam Utomo, ST who is the FSM Specialist of Indonesian Urban Water Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH). Prof. Dr. Ing. Prayatni Soewondo MS, and Dr. Dyah Wulandari, ST., MT., gave material on the first day related to Sanitation Systems and Service. Then on the second day Dr. Ir. Tresna Dermawan Kunaefi and Dr. Anindrya Nastiti ST, MT provided material related to Behavior Change and Advocacy.
The event was attended by more than 50 participants from various cities in Indonesia and from various institution. Some participants from Lampung, Semarang (Central Java), Surabaya (East Java), and Bali took part in the event. Not only academics were present but many participants were practitioners such as consultants and State Civil Apparatus (ASN). The aim of this event is to provide knowledge about the importance of sustainable sanitation and also to understand more deeply about human behavior so people will now how much important of sanitation to creating healthier and more prosperous lives.
